The rechargeable replacement battery for the Ring Video Doorbell is identical to the original, offering up to 5-6 months of battery life. Please keep in mind that the battery life depends on the device's motion and light settings, and may vary in different working environments.

Here are some tips for battery care:

1. Ensure that the device or battery charger is placed on a non-flammable surface during charging. The Ring rechargeable battery may explode or leak if disassembled or dropped into fire.

2. For optimal rechargeable Ring battery life, a new battery comes with 40%-60% power. Please fully charge all batteries before first use until the battery indicator turns green.

3. Disposable (alkaline) batteries are not rechargeable and should never be placed in a charger.

4. Do not store batteries unused for long periods with less than 20% of charge. Batteries self-discharge over time, and storing empty or near-empty batteries may cause them to overdrain (voltage drops below 1.0V), which can adversely affect battery life or completely damage them.

5. Rechargeable batteries do not last forever and degrade over time. Temperature and storage conditions may affect battery life or degradation rate. Take care of your batteries, and they will last longer.

6. Charge batteries to 40% or more before leaving them unused or for long-term storage (3-6 months or more).

7. Once a battery charger indicates the batteries are fully charged, remove them from the charger and unplug it from the wall.
